Big Little Lies Season 3 seems unlikely after director’s death (Despite fans’ demand)

Big Little Lies Season 3 is a highly awaited series on HBO, but despite several hints given earlier about its renewal, it does not seem feasible any longer. Enthusiasts who are still searching for the third season of the drama must know that after the death of the show’s director Jean-Marc Vallée', Season 3’s renewal possibility is almost over. Series star Zoë Kravitz told that series cannot run without their beloved director.

In response to fans' question in last year November, Kravitz stated "I don't think it is! We talked about doing a Season 3 a lot. Unfortunately, Jean-Marc Vallée, our incredible director, passed away this last year. It's heartbreaking. I can't imagine going on without him. He really was the visionary for that show." Unfortunately, it's done."

Some fans are still optimistic, as HBO hasn’t given any official word regarding the cancelation of the show. Earlier we learned that there have been numerous hits from the cast members which include Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, and Shailene Woodley that they want to reprise their roles in Big Little Lies Season 3. Moreover, after several interruptions, Season 2 of the series was released in June 2019. Before that, Big Little Lies season 2 director Andrea Arnold lost creative control of the season, and HBO issued an official statement announcing that there won't be a Season 2.

Dern told to EW, that she was "holding out hope" for Big Little Lies Season 3. "I mean, we would all love nothing more. We're like family, just very lucky. I say, let's hold out hope. Let's keep asking. It might just come true."

 Following Vallée's death, Witherspoon told to THR, "We're always talking and texting. But Jean-Marc Vallée's passing was really hard on us. He was our collaborator. He was our friend. He was our brother. So much of that series was born of his imagination and his creativity, so it is hard to imagine a future without him. But there is certainly a deep desire for all of us to connect and create those characters again."

Big Little Lies is based on the book of the same name, which is written by Liane Moriarty. It is a dark comedy series about three mothers. Their children are first graders and life is easy and happy for them until they choose to unravel the point of murder.

As of now, Big Little Lies Season 3 renewal seems unlikely despite huge audience demand. We will keep updating you as soon as we get anything new.
