Golden Kamuy Season 4 Episode 7 release date remains unknown after production hiatus

Golden Kamuy Season 4 Episode 7 titled “Fleeing Karafuto” was not released as scheduled due to the unfortunate passing of a key staff member on November 1, 2022. The anime series was put on an indefinite hiatus, leaving the release date for Episode 7 unknown. However, the official website for Golden Kamuy announced that the broadcast of Season 4 would resume in April 2023 with its first episode.

There were rumors that the broadcast of Golden Kamuy anime would resume on April 3, but the anime series is yet to start. The announcement of the resumption came via the official website and Twitter account, along with an accompanying trailer. Additionally, the website updated the character visuals and voices for the fourth season. These latest updates now include all the characters who appeared throughout the season’s first half, as well as the preceding seasons of the television anime adaptation, which initially premiered in the Fall 2022 season.

Golden Kamuy Season 4 began broadcasting on October 3, 2022, but the production committee and studio Brains Base delayed the broadcast after Episode 6. The delay was due to the death of a main staff member who was crucial to the production. Episodes 7-13 of the season were announced to be delayed shortly after the staff member’s death. This was an understandable decision for fans, although it was somewhat upsetting.

The story of Golden Kamuy follows Saichi Sugimoto, a veteran of the early 20th century, as he searches for a vast fortune of gold belonging to the Ainu people. He is aided by a young Ainu girl named Asirpa, and the portrayal of the Ainu language is overseen by an Ainu language linguist affiliated with Chiba University, Hiroshi Nakagawa.

Fans of Golden Kamuy eagerly await the release of Golden Kamuy S4 Ep7, but unfortunately, the series is still on hiatus. However, they can look forward to the resumption of the series in April 2023 and the continuation of the thrilling story of Saichi Sugimoto's pursuit of gold with the help of Asirpa.
