Kaguya-Sama Love Is War Season 4 is reportedly in production

On June 25 of this year, the third season of Kaguya-Sama Love Is War came to an end, and during its streaming, fans began to speculate about the possibility of a fourth season of the anime series. The official Twitter account further teased fans on June 24, 2022, by announcing that a new animation would be produced.

Recently, news has emerged that the Kaguya-sama Season 4 anime TV series is reportedly in production. This upcoming season will be a direct continuation of the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War movie that adapted The First Kiss Never Ends story arc from the manga series authored by Aka Akasaka.

On December 14, 2022, a source called Sugoi LITE said that the 4th season of Kaguya-sama Love Is War has been given the go-ahead for production. It's possible that it's already being worked on secretly, but there's no official confirmation or proof yet.

This is just a rumor and shouldn't be taken as fact, even though Sugoi LITE has been accurate in the past. Fans are still waiting for an official announcement about the 4th season, which was expected to come after the release of the First Kiss movie in Japan on December 17, 2022. In the third season of Kaguya-Sama Love Is War, Kaguya discovers Miyuki dressed as Arsène on a rooftop. However, before she can express her feelings for him, Miyuki releases a large balloon that scatters heart-shaped balloons into the sky, indicating his reluctance to confess first. Instead, he suggests that Kaguya applies to Stanford with him, and she accepts. As a reward for helping him find the phantom thief, Kaguya kisses Miyuki.

While this could have been the end of the anime, there are hints of a possible fourth season. Although the creators have not officially announced anything, a new anime film called "Kaguya-sama: Love is War - The First Kiss Never Ends" was released on July 8, 2022. Additionally, there was a live-action adaptation of the series that premiered in Japan in September 2019.

Fans of the show are eagerly anticipating the potential for a fourth season of Kaguya-Sama Love Is War. If it is announced in the future, it will likely continue the story of Miyuki and Kaguya, including possible confessions and dates. Season 4 could also delve into the dark secrets of Ai Hayasaka and the Shinomiya family.

"The First Kiss" is a direct sequel to the 10-chapter Christmas-themed story arc of the same name, which was previously featured in the manga series. This means that it follows the storyline of the manga rather than featuring an original story for the anime.

Typically, anime episodes tend to adapt around 3 to 5 manga chapters. The 14th arc of the Kaguya-sama series, which includes the events leading up to the first kiss between Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, begins in Chapter 142 and ends in Chapter 151 of the manga.
