'Idols South Africa' ('Idols SA') Season 14 has reportedly broken its own voting record after receiving around 142 million votes in comparison to 98 million votes received in 2017. Launched in 2002, this highly acclaimed television show has constantly nourished its growth in ratings and social media engagement through various strategies. She becomes the second victorious teenager from Cape Town to win the title in the past two years. Paxton Fielies (mononymously known as Paxton) became the winner of Season 13 last year and she has released her first studio album 'This is Me' on June 1, 2018.
While commenting on this popular television show, Reneilwe Sema, M-Net director of local entertainment channels said that "this is the biggest talent platform in the country and keeps producing amazing talent," as reported by Music Africa.
