Haunting of Hill House Season 2: Any Crain members? New plot with no past connection expected

Will ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ Season 2 happen at some point down the line? The episode 10 titled ‘Silence Lay Steadily’ of Season 1 was aired on October 12, 2018 and since then the show is on hiatus. But the avid viewers of supernatural horror web television have not stopped discussing or thinking about Netflix’s masterpiece.

As far as the returning of Crain family in ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ Season 2 episodes is concerned, the interview of the series creator-cum-director Mike Flanagan with TVLine might have disappointed the series’ dedicated fans. He said that he and his team hope that the viewers surely “satisfied with the Crain family’s happy-ish ending.” When he was once again directly asked if any of the Crains can be seen in the upcoming season, he boldly replied, “I don’t think so.”

“I think we tied up all of those threads exactly how they should be. I don’t really see a need to revisit those characters, even in cameos. I want to remember them the way we left them, and leave them to their lives,” he further continued saying in a short note.

This kind of replies is adequate to disappoint those avid fans who want to know more about the Crain family’s typical past and strained relationship. However, who knows, the series can bring back Crain family or its any members in any season (if not in the second season) by resurrecting or reviving any character and linking the story to the past.

As far as the theme of ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ is concerned, there are plenty of things the show creators can do for Season 2 apart from bringing back the old characters. The horror web series is believed to bring a very new plot with no connection with the previous Crain family members. However, we are yet to get even small detail on the plot.
