AniMela to Elevate Indian Animation at Annecy 2024

AniMela, with support from the Indian government and collaboration with the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, aims to showcase Indian animation on a global stage in 2024. The global event will feature various projects reflecting Indian culture, boosted by workshops and mentorship. This initiative represents a landmark for Indian animation.

AniMela, backed by the Aniverse & Visual Arts Foundation, is gearing up to make a significant impact on the international animation stage at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2024. For the first time, Indian animation will be formally showcased at the prestigious NAMASTE MIFA event.

Organized by AniMela and co-hosted by Assemblage Entertainment and Zebu Animation Studios, the event will feature four distinctive projects representing Indian themes and universal human emotions, making them appealing globally. Projects like 'Hide & Seek,' 'Rising Tides,' 'Lala,' and 'Table for One' have been selected for this exclusive showcase.

Launched in early 2023, AniMela aims to uplift Indian animators and filmmakers on the global front. Co-Founder Kireet Khurana expressed optimism about AniMela's potential to revolutionize the Indian animation industry, while other industry leaders highlighted how such platforms significantly contribute to global recognition and growth.
