Pro-Khalistan Slogans Echo at Akal Takht During Operation Bluestar Anniversary

On the 40th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, supporters and activists of radical Sikh outfits raised pro-Khalistan slogans at the Akal Takht. Led by Dal Khalsa, they carried Khalistani flags and photographs of militant leaders. The event saw calls for justice and promoting Sikhism's rich tenets and history.

On the solemn occasion of the 40th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, the Akal Takht resonated with pro-Khalistan slogans, as supporters and activists of radical Sikh factions voiced their demands on Thursday.

The slogans were raised by various outfits, including the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) led by Simranjit Singh Mann, and former MP Dhian Singh Mand. Mann, who faced a recent defeat in the Lok Sabha elections from the Sangrur constituency, was also in attendance.

Youths aligned with Dal Khalsa were seen waving Khalistani flags and carrying portraits of the decimated Akal Takht. The marbled periphery of the Golden Temple echoed with fervent chants of 'Khalistan Zindabad.'
