In a dramatic turn of events, four close associates of acclaimed Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, embroiled in a murder investigation, were escorted to Pattanagere for a spot 'mahazar' by the police. This move follows the Tuesday arrests involving Darshan and 11 others, linked to the gruesome murder of Renukaswamy.

The victim, a fervent fan of Darshan, had purportedly posted disparaging comments on social media against Pavithra Gowda, an intimate acquaintance of Darshan and minor actress. The comment allegedly spurred the confrontation leading to the heinous crime, with the body unceremoniously disposed of in a storm-water drain.

Police sources reveal that the investigators are piecing together the events that culminated in Renukaswamy's demise, with social media activity playing a pivotal role in understanding the motive behind the murder.
