Madhya Pradesh to Develop Lord Ram and Krishna Sites as Pilgrimage Spots

The Madhya Pradesh government will develop sites associated with Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as pilgrimage destinations. Additionally, welcome gates dedicated to these deities will be erected at Bhopal’s entry points. The Madhya Pradesh government has announced plans to develop sites linked to Lord Ram and Lord Krishna into pilgrimage destinations, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav revealed during a recent Culture and Tourism Department review meeting.

The government will construct welcome gates dedicated to these deities at the entry points of the state capital, Bhopal. Additionally, they plan to set up entry gates dedicated to Raja Bhoj and Vikramaditya at the state boundaries to highlight Madhya Pradesh's rich cultural heritage.

CM Yadav urged officials to create action plans for promoting religious tourism, celebrating Gita Mahotsav, and incorporating local elected representatives in these initiatives. He stressed the importance of branding tourist spots and marketing local products through various museums.
