Shriya Pilgaonkar Joins Jury for 2024 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles

Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar will be a jury member for the shorts category at the 2024 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. The festival will feature 20 films from various countries and serve as a platform for emerging South Asian filmmakers.

Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar has been announced as a jury member for the shorts category at the 2024 edition of the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA).

The festival, scheduled for June 27 to 30, will showcase 20 films including seven narrative features, twelve shorts, and one docu-series. These films span across regions such as India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, and the United States.

The shorts program will feature works like ''Hema'' starring Rajshri Deshpande and ''Last Days of Summer''. ''I am honoured and thrilled to be invited as a jury member for the short film category at IFFLA 2024," said Pilgaonkar.

The festival's opening film will be Tarsem Singh's ''Dear Jassi,'' while the closing film will be Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi's ''Maharaja.'' Other highlights include the action thriller ''Kill'' by Nikhil Nagesh and Sundance winner ''Girls Will Be Girls'' by Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha.
