Haryana CM Leads 'Mukhya Mantri Tirth Yatra' to Ayodhya

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with his cabinet colleagues and some BJP MLAs, embarked on a pilgrimage to Ayodhya. This journey aligns with the 'Mukhya Mantri Tirth Yatra' scheme, which facilitates pilgrimages for elderly citizens from low-income families. Saini emphasized the government's efforts to enhance religious tourism.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, accompanied by his cabinet colleagues and several BJP MLAs, embarked on a pilgrimage to the revered Ram temple in Ayodhya on Monday morning, underscoring the state government's commitment to religious tourism.

Addressing reporters before their departure, Saini shared, ''Devotees of Lord Ram from across the globe are converging on Ayodhya for his 'darshan'. Today, we also seek the blessings of Lord Ram,'' he expressed.

The pilgrimage is part of the 'Mukhya Mantri Tirth Yatra' scheme, Saini elaborated. This initiative aims to facilitate pilgrimages for citizens over 60 years of age from families earning less than Rs 1.80 lakh annually. These pilgrimages include visits to Ayodhya, Varanasi, and other significant religious sites.

Saini highlighted ongoing projects worth Rs 250 crore in Kurukshetra, indicating the BJP government's dedication to boosting religious tourism. As Kurukshetra establishes itself as a central hub for religious tourism, it attracts countless devotees from across the country and beyond daily. Efforts continue to unlock the tourism potential of various other sites in the state, he added.
