Fashion designer and social media influencer Archana Makwana has come under severe threat after performing yoga at the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar on June 21. An FIR has been registered against unidentified individuals for sending her death threats through email, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

Makwana, facing criminal charges from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for allegedly hurting religious sentiments, has released a video statement asserting her innocence. She pleaded for the SGPC to retract their complaint, arguing that there were no signs prohibiting her actions.

The incident, described as 'sensitive' by the police, has prompted Vadodara police to provide her with protection. Despite the backlash, Makwana remains steadfast, ready to contest the charges legally if necessary.
