The highly anticipated motorcycle crime thriller 'The Bikeriders,' featuring an all-star cast including Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, and Tom Hardy, is set to stream from August 9, according to a report by Deadline. Directed by Jeff Nichols, known for films such as 'Mud' and 'Take Shelter,' the film is a fictional portrayal rooted in Danny Lyon's 1967 photography book 'The Bikeriders.'

The narrative delves into a revolutionary period in American culture, depicting the transformative journey of a Midwestern motorcycle gang, the Vandals. After a chance meeting at a local pub, strong-willed Kathy (played by Comer) becomes entangled with Benny (Butler), the newest member of the gang led by the enigmatic Johnny (Hardy). As the club morphs from a communal hub for societal outsiders into a violent underworld, Benny is forced to choose between his love for Kathy and his loyalty to the gang.

The cast also includes notable actors such as Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook, Mike Faist, and Norman Reedus. In preparation for her role, Jodie Comer shared how she mastered a working-class Chicago accent to portray Kathy, who finds herself competing with the gang leader Johnny for Benny's attention. Inspired by true events, the film captures the essence of Lyon's book, chronicling the rise and fall of the Vandals motorcycle club in the 1960s.
