Uttar Pradesh Prepares for Safe and Sacred Kanwar Yatra

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that comprehensive plans, in alignment with the Centre, have been made for the Kanwar Yatra. He emphasized the necessity of self-discipline among devotees for the smooth execution of the spiritual journey, highlighting arrangements like enhanced patrolling and health camps.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Monday that thorough plans have been made in coordination with the Centre for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, stressing the importance of self-discipline among devotees for the pilgrimage to proceed smoothly.

Adityanath emphasized that no festival or spiritual practice is complete without self-discipline, urging devotees to contribute to the yatra's success by maintaining both internal and external devotion. He mentioned that the state and central government have collaborated to ensure a secure and orderly event through measures like increased patrols, cleanliness initiatives, and health camps.

The Kanwar Yatra began on July 22 and will conclude on August 6, with numerous devotees traveling carrying holy water from the Ganga river to perform rituals at Shiva temples during the sacred month of Shravan. Additional arrangements have been made including surveillance and flower showers from drones and helicopters.
