Tushar Sahu, a 21-year-old and nephew of Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, tragically drowned at the Rani Dahra waterfall in Kabirdham district during an outing with friends. Officials confirmed the incident on Monday.

According to Kabirdham Additional Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar, Sahu, who held a significant position in the BJP's youth wing, fell into the waterfall pool while with five friends. The accident occurred around 4 pm on Sunday, prompting a swift police response to initiate a search mission.

Initial rescue efforts were hampered by darkness, delaying the discovery until early Monday morning when divers finally recovered Sahu's body. Prima facie evidence suggests drowning as the cause, though investigations continue. Eyewitnesses reported Sahu and two friends slipping from a 40-foot rock, with only the friends managing to escape.
