Bashir was on his way to a nearby forest area in the Loran region when the bear attacked him. His distress calls caught the attention of nearby residents, who rushed to help and successfully scared the bear away.
Bashir, who sustained multiple injuries particularly on his face, was immediately taken to Raja Sukhdev Singh district hospital in Poonch for medical treatment, officials confirmed.
