The iconic Amrit Udyan within the President's estate is set to open for public viewing from August 16 to September 15, the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Tuesday.
A complimentary shuttle bus from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to gate no. 35 will ease visitor access, according to an official statement. Spread over 15 acres, Amrit Udyan includes various gardens, some added by former Presidents Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind.
President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Amrit Udyan Summer Annuals Edition, 2024 on August 14. Additionally, August 29 will be designated for sportspersons and September 5 for teachers, while free entry to Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum during this period will be available to schoolchildren and designated groups.
