Amarnath Yatra to Proceed Exclusively via Baltal Route Amid Maintenance Work

The Amarnath Yatra will proceed exclusively through the Baltal route, as maintenance work on the traditional Pahalgam route has been necessitated by recent heavy rains, according to a statement by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB).

The SASB indicated that urgent repair efforts are being prioritized on the Pahalgam axis of the sacred pilgrimage route to ensure safety. Consequently, the pilgrimage will continue from the Baltal axis where sufficient arrangements have been made.

The board reassured devotees that the Yatra shall progress smoothly through the Baltal axis, with all necessary preparations in place.
