Raghav Chadha of the Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday called for the creation of a corridor to Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan's Punjab province, aimed at facilitating visits by Sikh devotees to the revered birthplace of Guru Nanak Dev.

During the Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Chadha emphasized the need for a diplomatic initiative to make the dreams of countless Punjabis and followers of Guru Nanak Dev a reality. He proposed three key measures: collaborative efforts by the governments of India and Pakistan to establish the corridor, exemption of passports, visas, and cumbersome forms for devotees, and a fee waiver for visitors.

In a related parliamentary mention, Priyanka Chaturvedi of the Shiv Sena UBT expressed her concerns over the significant gender disparity in access to clean public utilities. She underscored the inadequacy of the Swachh Bharat Mission in providing hygienic and sufficient public toilets for women, highlighting the ensuing health, safety, and dignity challenges faced by women in India.
