Addressing reporters after a function at Ranchi Women's College on International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, he highlighted the absence of dowry in tribal marriages as a commendable practice worth emulating.
Governor Gangwar noted that tribal communities form a significant portion of Jharkhand's demographic, with the government implementing various welfare schemes for their development. He urged the tribal population to be more conscious of educational opportunities, underlining that knowledge is crucial for socio-economic progress.
