Grammy-winning artist H.E.R. is slated to perform at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics. The celebrated singer will deliver the US national anthem live at the Stade de France as part of the handover for the upcoming Los Angeles Summer Games in 2028.

H.E.R. has built an illustrious career, winning multiple prestigious awards, including an Oscar, an Emmy, and several Grammys. In 2021, she won the Grammy for Song of the Year with her protest anthem “I Can’t Breathe” and nabbed the Best Original Song Oscar for “Fight for You” from the “Judas and the Black Messiah” soundtrack.

The versatile artist also earned accolades for her work on the Netflix animated series “We the People” and starred in the 2023 adaptation of “The Color Purple,” produced by Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg. Earlier this year, she appeared alongside Usher at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Los Angeles is set to host the Olympics for the third time, having previously hosted in 1984 and 1932. This time, it will also host the Paralympics for the first time in its history.
