PM Modi Visits Landslide-Hit Areas in Wayanad, Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kerala's Wayanad district to inspect the areas devastated by landslides that occurred last week, resulting in hundreds of casualties. Accompanied by key officials, Modi's visit includes a detailed review of rescue operations and interactions with affected victims.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Wayanad, Kerala, on Saturday to assess the devastating impact of recent landslides that have claimed hundreds of lives.

Modi landed at Kannur International Airport at around 11 am. He was welcomed by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan before taking an Indian Air Force helicopter to the disaster-hit region.

Accompanied by Khan, Vijayan, and Union Minister Suresh Gopi, Modi's visit is crucial as the Kerala government seeks Rs 2,000 crore in relief funds. He will meet with rescue teams and survivors, visiting relief camps and hospitals before chairing a review meeting on ongoing relief efforts.
