The NDA government in Bihar is preparing to launch a statewide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' programme starting August 12, aiming to encourage citizens to hoist the Indian national flag. The Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs department has instructed district magistrates to involve local self-help groups, specifically Jeevika Didis, and registered weavers in the flag's production as per government specifications.

The department has promised funding to all districts for the initiative, emphasizing the need for thorough preparations to ensure the programme's success. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha stated that the campaign is designed to foster patriotism and promote awareness about the national flag among citizens.

Official instructions include ensuring maximum public participation, with the Tiranga to be hoisted on government and public sector buildings, educational institutions, commercial establishments, and more. Sinha underscored that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, calls on every Indian to bring the flag into their homes and celebrate the nation's independence proudly.
