Shah Rukh Khan Credits Yash Chopra for Locarno Film Festival Honor
Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged late filmmaker Yash Chopra for his prestigious Pardo alla Carriera award at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. During a Q&A session, Khan reminisced about his first cinema experience and shared how he initially planned to leave Mumbai after a year.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Sunday credited late filmmaker and frequent collaborator Yash Chopra for his presence at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where he was honored with the Pardo alla Carriera award.
The following day, Khan, 58, participated in a Q&A session with Giona A. Nazzaro, the artistic director of the festival, reflecting on his cinematic journey and his first movie experience, which happened to be Chopra's 1973 thriller 'Joshila'.
Khan, who was last seen in 2023's 'Dunki', also revealed his initial plan to stay in Mumbai for just a year to earn Rs 1 lakh and buy a house before pursuing a career as a scientist or mass communication journalist.
