Celebrating Heroes: New Book Revisits the 1971 War

A new book titled '1971 Strategy Campaign Valor' commemorates the Indian heroes of the India-Pakistan War of 1971, highlighting key battles and the political, diplomatic, and military facets of the conflict. The launch event featured notable veterans and officials, including former army chief Gen V N Sharma, who emphasized the war's comprehensive nature.

A new book, '1971 Strategy Campaign Valor,' has been released, celebrating the heroes of the India-Pakistan War of 1971. The book launch, held at the India International Centre, featured insights from former army chief Gen V N Sharma and several veterans.

Gen Sharma highlighted the comprehensive aspects of the 1971 war, emphasizing that it was not just a military affair but also involved politics and diplomacy. He praised Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for her leadership during the conflict.

The book, written by 22-year-old Satyajit Lall, aims to rekindle interest in the 1971 war, especially among the younger generation. The volume was released amidst notable figures, including IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari and former Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal.
