Disney Announces Release Date for Highly Anticipated 'Frozen 3'

The makers of 'Frozen 3' have finally announced the release date for the popular animated series. According to Variety, the film will be released in theatres on November 24, 2027. The first two 'Frozen' films, which premiered around Thanksgiving Day, were billion-dollar blockbusters.

Director Jennifer Lee recently presented initial concept art for 'Frozen 3,' featuring beloved characters Anna and Elsa. The artwork showed the sisters riding horses toward a sunlit horizon, with Olaf perched on Anna's horse. Variety also reported a new Pixar movie titled 'Hoppers,' set to release on March 6, 2026. 'Hoppers' features Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan in a body-swap comedy about a young girl using technology to understand animals' inner thoughts.

Released in 2013, 'Frozen' is an American animated musical fantasy inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's 1844 fairy tale 'The Snow Queen.' Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and produced by Peter Del Vecho, the film earned approximately 1.3 billion dollars worldwide and won numerous awards, including two Oscars.

The sequel, released in 2019, was even more successful. It continued the adventures of royal sisters Anna and Elsa, with Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel voicing the characters. The series also produced hit songs like 'Let It Go' and 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman?' Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that a fourth installment is also in development, with veteran songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez returning for new tracks in the upcoming films.

'Frozen 3' is in the works, and there may be a 'Frozen 4,' Iger confirmed last year. Director Jenn Lee, who created the original 'Frozen' films, is working on both projects with her team at Disney Animation, as reported by Variety. (ANI)
