Renowned Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, who crafted the Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya's Ram temple, has been denied a US visa, according to family sources on Wednesday.

Yogiraj, 41, was scheduled to travel to the US this month-end for a 20-day trip to attend the 12th AKKA World Kannada Conference in Richmond, Virginia, along with other events.

Despite completing all the formalities and submitting the required documents, his visa application was rejected for reasons still unknown, a family member revealed.
