Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday declared that India's progress in the 'Amrit Kaal' is significantly bolstered by Maharashtra's contribution as the nation's growth engine. Shinde emphasized the transformative impact of the state's initiatives as he launched the 'Mukhya Mantri Maji Ladki Bahin Yojana', a scheme aimed at financially empowering women.

Detailing the scheme, which offers a monthly stipend to underprivileged women, Shinde said that it symbolizes more than just an electoral promise, aiming instead to genuinely uplift the state's female population. He also contrasted his administration's approach to welfare against that of its predecessor, highlighting transparent and effective governance.
