Shocking New Details Emerge in Matthew Perry's Tragic Death

Federal prosecutors have revealed that Matthew Perry suffered a severe medical reaction to a ketamine injection days before his death. Five individuals, including his doctor and assistant, face charges. Perry, best known for 'Friends,' was found unresponsive, with acute ketamine effects determining his cause of death.

Federal prosecutors have disclosed that actor Matthew Perry experienced a severe medical reaction to a ketamine injection just days before his death. According to E! News, a Department of Justice report indicates Perry was unable to speak or move following the October 12, 2023, incident, just 16 days prior to his demise.

Perry, famously known for his role in 'Friends,' was found unresponsive in his hot tub on October 28, 2023. The official cause of death cited was the 'acute effects of ketamine' combined with drowning.

Newly unsealed documents obtained by E! News reveal the details surrounding Perry's condition before his death. Prosecutors have charged five individuals in relation to Perry’s passing.

Among those charged is Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who allegedly administered a large dose of ketamine to Perry at the request of Perry's live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa. The DOJ reports that this at-home injection resulted in a 'significant spike' in Perry's systolic blood pressure, leaving him incapacitated.

Plasencia faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to distribute ketamine, seven counts of ketamine distribution, and two counts for falsifying documents. Iwamasa has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death.

According to a plea agreement, Iwamasa injected Perry with ketamine acquired through unofficial means on the morning of his death, administering two additional doses throughout the day before leaving Perry unattended. Upon returning, Iwamasa found Perry unresponsive in the hot tub.

Additionally charged is Jasveen Sangha, known as 'The Ketamine Queen,' along with Erik Fleming and Dr. Mark Chavez, who allegedly supplied ketamine to Iwamasa and Plasencia. All have pleaded guilty to related charges.

Anne Milgram of the US Drug Enforcement Administration stated, 'We allege each of the defendants played a key role in his death by falsely prescribing, selling, or injecting the ketamine that caused Matthew Perry's tragic death.' The investigation continues as authorities aim to hold all responsible parties accountable.
