India Leads Global South: Virtual Summit Highlights

India hosted the third Voice of Global South Summit virtually, excluding China and Pakistan, with 123 nations participating. The summit, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed challenges like climate change, debt burden, and global governance reforms. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted India's leadership role for the Global South.

China and Pakistan were notably absent from the third Voice of Global South Summit hosted by India, which saw representatives from 123 nations converge virtually on Saturday.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar confirmed the participation level, noting 21 countries were represented by their heads of state or government, with many focusing on the challenges facing developing nations.

The summit, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, heavily discussed climate change, debt burden, global governance reforms, and the strategic autonomy of nations, emphasizing India's growing influence as a voice for the Global South.
