The Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR) took an innovative approach to Raksha Bandhan by urging people to focus on tiger conservation. Women donned tiger masks as they tied rakhis to men in various villages and small towns surrounding the reserve.
According to a post on X, this marks the third consecutive year that the PTR has celebrated Raksha Bandhan across 130 villages and small towns adjacent to the reserve. The event also extended to Seoni and Chhindwara district headquarters.
The rakhi in this celebration serves as a symbol of wildlife protection. 'Just as sisters tie rakhis for their brothers' longevity and safety, we pledge to safeguard our forests, tigers, and other wildlife,' the PTR emphasized. This year’s event wasn't just a festival but a resolution to protect nature.
