The flood, exacerbated by continuous rains, has claimed 16 lives in just two days while displacing over 15,000 residents. Authorities continue to conduct widespread rescue operations, involving NDRF, SDRF, and the Indian Armed Forces. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel of the Centre's full support in tackling the crisis.
In their public appeals, Kharge offered condolences to the bereaved and called for swift deployment of more NDRF and SDRF teams. He also lauded the efforts of the Indian Armed Forces. Gandhi emphasized the need for Congress workers to aid in relief efforts and expressed hopes for a quick recovery for the injured and affected.
