In a tragic incident in Jamshedpur, Hemant Singh, a 60-year-old man, allegedly died of suffocation when a python he carried around his neck tightened its grip. The incident unfolded on Dimna Road in the Mango area, where Singh used to earn money by showcasing the snake to locals and visitors.
After the fatal mishap, the python roamed the area before a snake catcher managed to capture it. The python has since been handed over to the forest department, according to police reports.
Officer-in-Charge of the Mango police station, Niranjan Kumar, confirmed that Singh's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
