Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' has garnered critical acclaim with two nominations in the prestigious Asia Contents Awards and Global OTT Awards. The nominations, organized by the Busan International Film Festival, were announced following the series' successful run since its release on May 1.

The series, set in pre-independence India, chronicles the lives of courtesans in Lahore's red-light district under British rule. It features a stellar cast including Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Competing in the Best OTT Original and Best Original Song categories for 'Sakal Ban,' the series stands out among other strong contenders from across Asia.

The awards ceremony, set for October 6, 2024, at South Korea's BIFF Theatre, will see final winners determined by a panel of seven international jurors. Bhansali expressed his gratitude for the recognition, adding to the anticipation surrounding the highly competitive event.
