Iranian Ambassador Promotes Tourism Amidst West Asian Tensions

Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, Iranian Ambassador to India Iraj Elahi reassured that the discord between Iran and Israel is not new and does not impact the safety of tourists. He encouraged Indians and other tourists to explore Iran, noting the country's rich historical and cultural heritage.
Speaking to PTI during the Iran Tourism Roadshow in Delhi, Elahi expressed optimism about increasing direct flights between India and Iran. Currently, there are two direct flights from Tehran to Delhi and one to Mumbai. He noted that further connectivity can enhance tourism and facilitate cultural exchanges.
Regarding the Iran-Israel hostilities, Elahi emphasized that such tensions have existed for a long time and assured that Iran remains a safe destination. He spoke about the nations' deep-rooted trade, cultural ties, and the mutual respect at the leadership level. Elahi also mentioned that Iran offers visa-free entry for Indian tourists for up to two weeks, making travel more convenient.
