Divine Fervour at Govardhan's First Chhappan Bhog of the Season
The town of Govardhan witnessed the season's first 'Chhappan Bhog' with over 100,000 devotees participating despite heavy rains. The deity, adorned with rare gemstones, received 21 quintals of 'prasadam'. Security was heightened for the private event dedicated to 'Desh ki Khushali and Samridhi'.

Govardhan town was awash in religious fervour during the first 'Chhappan Bhog' of the season as over 100,000 devotees braved inclement weather to worship 'Govardhan Maharaj'. The deity, bedecked with rare gemstones, stood resplendent amid the homage of faithful devotees.
Murari Agrawal, founder of the Giriraj Seva Samiti, remarked on the impressive array of gems used to adorn the deity, including tourmaline, garnet, and diamond among others. The event also featured a sumptuous spread of 'prasadam' consisting of 56 special dishes, all meticulously prepared over four days.
District Magistrate Shailendra Singh noted that security measures were intensified due to the large crowd, with regulated entry to the Chhappan Bhog venue. Traditionally dedicated to national causes, this year's event was aimed at promoting prosperity and happiness in India.
