Controversy Surrounding Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple

A complaint was filed against former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and others for allegedly defiling the sanctity of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple with adulterated ghee in Tirupati 'laddu prasadam'. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams confirmed sub-standard ghee findings, while Reddy dismissed the allegations as diversion politics.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and several others are facing accusations of defiling the sacred Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple. The allegations, which point to the use of adulterated ghee in the famous Tirupati 'laddu prasadam', have prompted a complaint lodged by advocate K Karuna Sagar.

The complaint, filed at Saidabad Police Station, is based on a lab report revealing sub-standard ghee and the presence of lard. Sagar urged the police to investigate and take necessary actions against Reddy and others for supposedly undermining the temple's sanctity and hurting Hindu religious sentiments.

In corroboration, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) acknowledged the presence of impurities, including pig fat, in the ghee. Nonetheless, Jagan Mohan Reddy dismissed these claims as a mere tactic of diversion politics and labeled them as baseless accusations.
