Support Pledged for Struggling Hairstylist: DAEI Stands Strong

The Directors Association of Eastern India (DAEI) has vowed to support a hairstylist who attempted suicide after facing significant professional challenges.

At a press conference, DAEI president Subrata Sen insisted that no barriers should hinder her from working on projects she prefers. The association is part of the Federation of Cine Technicians and Workers of Eastern India (FCTWEI), which aims to protect stakeholder interests, including those of the hairstylist.

A group of technicians allegedly blocked her from getting jobs since May, prompting her tragic action. Despite this, her family saved her, and she recorded an audio statement and wrote a note accusing 11 people. The DAEI pledges full cooperation with the police investigation, while industry sources indicate her union had suspended her for insubordination. A committee will review her allegations, with potential actions pending their findings.
