Sikkim Governor Engages with Mangan Leaders Over Road Connectivity and Tourism

Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur engaged with 'Pipons' and 'Dzumsa' members of Mangan district on Tuesday to address road connectivity and tourism issues. The meeting took place at Dzumsa Hall in Lachen.

Lachen, affected by the South Lonak Lake GLOF in October last year, prompted the Governor to assure the community of bringing their concerns to the central government’s attention.

Governor Mathur commended the residents for constructing a temporary bridge to restore connectivity and lauded their resilience during recent floods. He also emphasized the significance of timely infrastructure repairs and urged the community to collaborate with district administration and Army officials in speeding up development projects.
