B R Naidu, the newly-appointed chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board, has asserted that all employees working at Tirumala, where the revered Lord Venkateswara temple is located, should be Hindus.
Naidu announced he intends to engage with the Andhra Pradesh government to address the status of non-Hindu staff and consider options like reassignment to other departments or the Voluntary Retirement Scheme. This, he stated, would be his primary focus amid a myriad of issues that need attention.
Expressing gratitude to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his appointment, Naidu underscored his commitment to maintaining the temple's sanctity and addressing irregularities allegedly prevailing during the YSR Congress regime.
