Foundation of Indian Institute of Creative Technology Centre Announced

Maharashtra's cultural affairs minister, Ashish Shelar, has revealed plans for the Indian Institute of Creative Technology Centre for Excellence. Set to be established on a 10-acre site at Film City, Goregaon, the centre will soon have its foundation stone laid, as Shelar disclosed during the inauguration of the 23rd Pune International Film Festival.
The institute is poised to integrate global technological advancements into India's film and creative industry, aiding both artistic and technological growth. Speaking at the event, Shelar emphasized the significance of innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, in advancing Indian cinema's future.
The festival also featured tributes to veteran actor Shubha Khote and playback singer Kavita Krishnamurthy, who was bestowed with the S D Burman Award for music achievements. In attendance were Pune Film Foundation Chairman Jabbar Patel, Additional Chief Secretary Vikas Kharge, and Swati Mhase Patil, Managing Director of MFSCDC.
