The Assam Police have intensified their investigation into alleged obscenity on the YouTube reality show 'India's Got Latent', involving comedian Samay Raina. A team has traveled to Pune as part of their effort to issue a summons to Raina linked to the controversial online content.
The case originated from complaints about comments made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on Raina's platform, sparking public outrage and leading to legal action in Guwahati, Assam. Allahbadia, along with Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija, have all been named in the case.
Authorities in both Maharashtra and Assam are coordinating to ensure cooperation from those involved, with Maharashtra Cyber officials also detecting involvement from participants of the show. As the inquiry unfolds, figures such as actor Raghu Ram have recorded statements to aid the investigation.
