Amazon MGM Studios is set to release 'Elle', a prequel series to the 'Legally Blonde' films, on Prime Video. The series will explore the high school years of Elle Woods, with Lexi Minetree stepping into the iconic role.

Reese Witherspoon, who first portrayed Elle Woods in the early 2000s films, shared the announcement on Instagram. Her production company, Hello Sunshine, is partnering with Amazon MGM Studios for the series.

This marks Minetree's first leading TV role, after notable appearances in 'Law & Order: SVU' and 'The Murdaugh Murders'. The series is helmed by Laura Kittrell and Caroline Dries, with Witherspoon serving as an executive producer.
