The Kashi Tamil Sangamam has brought over 1,200 delegates from Tamil Nadu to explore the cultural and historical connections with Kashi during the ongoing Maha Kumbh. This third edition features destinations like Kumbh, Ayodhya, and Varanasi, highlighting the age-old bond between Tamil Nadu and this sacred land.
Organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh government, the event is more than just a meeting—it's a celebration of shared heritage. K Venkat Ramana Ghanapati, Trustee at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, emphasizes the timeless ties reflected in the Tamil settlement around Hanuman Ghat.
Highlighting contributions in arts and education, this year's program focuses on Sage Agasthyar's influence, featuring a dedicated exhibition. Participants, selected via IIT Madras, include students, artisans, entrepreneurs, and scholars, all eyeing the rich historical and cultural tapestry of Kashi.
