Tensions flared at Indore's esteemed Holkar Science College when a group of student leaders took drastic measures, locking their teachers inside a hall and cutting off the power supply in protest. According to reports on Tuesday, the incident, which took place on Monday, has prompted an inquiry led by the District Administration. An Additional District Magistrate (ADM) is tasked with investigating the circumstances surrounding the event, as college authorities continue to express worries over the actions of the disaffected students.

District Magistrate Ashish Singh described the incident as "extremely serious," emphasizing the potential ramifications. College principal Dr. Anamika Jain has filed a formal complaint, while the district administration awaits the conclusion of the ADM's report to decide on appropriate actions. No police case has been registered yet as the situation continues to unfold at the institution, which historically holds significant importance in Indore, being founded by Holkar rulers 133 years ago.
