Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat of Jammu and Kashmir have conveyed their warm wishes to the people as Mahashivratri approaches, marking an important celebration in the region.

The Lt Governor, in a message, emphasized the significance of Mahashivratri, or 'Herath' as celebrated by the Kashmiri Pandit community, as an occasion for rededication to values like truth, brotherhood, and compassion. He urged everyone to seek higher consciousness and prayed for Lord Shiva's guidance and blessings.

Meanwhile, the DGP also joined in with his own well-wishes for the people, families of martyrs, and security forces, hoping for Lord Shiva’s blessings on this auspicious day.
