The film swept 10 categories, including Best Picture and Best Direction. This success was a significant achievement, especially as it became India's official Oscar entry.

Rao celebrated her Best Director award, highlighting the privilege of crafting a film like 'Laapataa Ladies'. Nitanshi Goel won Best Performance in a Leading Role (Female) for portraying a lost bride. Kartik Aaryan, who hosted the event with Karan Johar, clinched the Best Performance in a Leading Role (Male) for 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'.
