Bihar's Language Academies Set for a Revitalizing Overhaul

The Bihar government is taking significant strides to revitalize its linguistic initiatives by consolidating eight language academies into a single umbrella body. The education minister announced that this restructuring, expected to conclude next financial year, aims to bolster the management and functionality of these entities.

Education Minister Sunil Kumar addressed the assembly, emphasizing the need for sufficient funding and the rationalization of long-vacant posts in the academies. This move is intended to optimize operations and safeguard Bihar's rich linguistic heritage.

Despite previous challenges such as unused grants and service condition issues, the consolidation of the Bihar Hindi Granth Academy, Maithili, Magahi, Bangla, Sanskrit, Bhojpuri, Angika academies, and a South Indian languages organization under one body aims to enhance their efficacy and ensure better oversight.
