The Karnataka government has announced an ambitious plan to establish a B R Ambedkar Theme Park and Constitution Museum on Bangalore University's Jnanabharathi campus. The project, projected to cost Rs 200 crore, aims to pay tribute to the architect of the Indian Constitution while providing educational resources on its values.
Conceived during the 2019-20 state budget, with an initial Rs 20 crore budget, the project has now gained significant traction. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took the opportunity during the 134th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr. Ambedkar on April 14, 2025, to officially announce the establishment of the museum.
The theme park seeks not only to honor Dr. Ambedkar's contributions but also to serve as an educational tool for future generations about the principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of its historical and cultural significance.
