The final touches are being applied to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, as confirmed by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai. Once completed, construction work involving heavy machinery will come to an end, marking a crucial milestone in the temple's construction journey.
Rai emphasized that the main work on the temple is scheduled for completion by October, and the team is focusing on ensuring that the public's ability to view the temple is not obstructed. Key tasks such as building the boundary wall, auditorium, restrooms, and the Trust office within the complex are still underway and may take another year to finish.
The temple's construction follows a landmark Supreme Court judgment in 2019 regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute. This decision allowed Hindu litigants, who asserted the Babri mosque was on Lord Ram's birth site, to proceed with temple construction. The consecration ceremony for the temple was held in January of last year, marking a historic moment for the locale.
